Floyd G. Shon, M.D.
Hand & Upper Extremity Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Shon specializes in providing quality orthopedic care, especially to patients suffering from injuries or abnormalities of the upper extremities (shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand). He received his undergraduate degree in bioengineering from University of California, San Diego. After participating in extensive post-graduate research in biophysics, he earned his medical degree at Columbia University in New York. While in New York, Dr. Shon completed General Surgery and Orthopedic Specialty Training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and the New York Orthopedic Hospital. He then participated in a combined fellowship in hand surgery, upper extremity surgery and microsurgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Shon has authored several research articles and made a number of professional presentations on his research at medical conferences.

When not seeing patients or participating in research projects, he relaxes with his family and enjoys music and traveling to exotic locations.
