Dr. Wetzel is the Medical Director of the Westminster office of Memorial Prompt Care & Family Medicine. He is board-certified in Family Practice and a member of the National Academy of Family Physicians. Born in Southern California, Dr. Wetzel earned his undergraduate degree from University of California, Los Angeles and his medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. He returned to Southern California to complete his family medicine internship and residency at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Wetzel is an internationally recognized expert on sexuality and adolescent pregnancy and has made numerous appearances on television and radio to discuss these issues. He is an advisory board member of a shelter for pregnant teenagers, Mary’s Shelter.
